Well, let’s see…been a while since I’ve written anything on the Bauer Blog (BB) so I’ll start from the past month. Monday, April 5th was Opening Day at turner Field for Braves v. Cubs and we WON, of course. The game rocked and we ended up having to sit in the SRO seats…I’ll give you 1 guess what this means (Hint: It was a sold out game). It was still great to see all the players in their clean uniforms and also great to see the newest addition to the Atlanta team, Heyward, a 20-year-old rookie called up from the minor leagues. “What a stud” as my husband said with a big smile. I think we’re all happy he’s playing for our side. Pics of the beautiful day are up on my Facebook Profile.
Oh, and this past Tuesday night, Ben and I were out walking the dogs when our HOA President was going door-to-door and handing out flyers about upcoming events. And apparently, Dexter, our Boxer was agitated about something and kinda charged at her but not on her. When he did this, he kinda “grazed” her leg above her knee. Over a short period of time it became a bruise and became discolored quickly. We provided proof of current vaccinations and other vet records but because she was recently married to a Cop (yep, we have a neighborhood Cop), when she went to the Health Department to get a tetanus shot they told her that even though she declined to press charges, they still had to notify animal control and file a report. Great…After we woke up the next morning, we had a notice on our door to phone the Animal Control Officer at the number provided on the flyer hung on the door. Ben called and come to find out, our HOA President was found to be 12 weeks pregnant. Boy…Even better…So even after all the Animal Control Officer interview with him and the dog, we still had to take Dexter to the Vet and get $215 worth of more tests run to determine that he was negative for any heartworm or other harmful diseases. Result was Dexter had to be quarantined at home for 10 days. We can only take him out to relieve himself and, poor thing, he’s pouting and begging to go outside and be walked. This Thursday will be his ‘Off Quarantine’ day. We might even throw him a Party!!!
